Fort Findlay facts for kids
Fort Findlay at what is today the modern city of Findlay, Ohio was erected in 1812 by Col. James Findlay under the orders of General Hull and it was named in honor of the Colonel. It was a stockade style fort consisting of blockhouses at each corner comprising about fifty yards total space. The fort was garrisoned by a company under the command of Captain Arthur Thomas during its occupancy during the War of 1812.
