Flora is a town in Monroe Township, Carroll County, Indiana, United States. The population was 2,036 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lafayette, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
A post office was established at Flora in 1873. Flora was named for its founder, John Flora.

2010 census
As of the census of 2010, there were 2,036 people, 858 households, and 549 families living in the town. The population density was 1,920.8 inhabitants per square mile (741.6/km2). There were 969 housing units at an average density of 914.2 per square mile (353.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.5% White, 0.3% African American, 1.1% from other races, and 0.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.6% of the population.
There were 858 households, of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.7% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.4% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.0% were non-families. 31.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.96.
The median age in the town was 40.4 years. 25.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.2% were from 25 to 44; 25.8% were from 45 to 64; and 19.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the town was 46.8% male and 53.2% female.
