Eparchy (disambiguation) facts for kids
In Ancient Rome the term eparchia was used to refer to a province in the eastern parts of the Roman Empire. Today, the term is used for different concepts:
- Provinces of Greece used to be called Eparchies, until they were abolished, in 1997.
- Districts of Cyprus are called Eparchies.
- Dioceses of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Eastern Catholic Church, and a few other churches of the East are called Eparchies
