Dur Khan (Khowar, Urdu: دور خان; 1 January 1920 – ) is a Pakistani environmentalist, Social activist, Peace Activist, and humanitarian from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Northern Pakistan. He was the founder and head of the Assocation of senior citizens in Pakistan. He ran the organization for 5 years. He was known as Preserver of environment.
In 2018, he won the Public Peace Prize because of his work for justice for Pakistani senior citizens.
Life
Dur Khan was born in 1920 in northern Pakistan. He grew up in the Chitral Valley of Pakistan. Dur Khan was married when he was 20 years old. He had five children.
The Senior Citizens Jirga
In May 2015, Dur Khan established An association for Senior Citizens for the rights of senior citizens. It was the first senior citizen's jirga in Pakistan.
