Colton is a village and civil parish in South Lakeland, Cumbria, England. In 2001 there were 765 people living in Colton. In 1202 it was called Coleton, which was the Old English name for village. It is built beside a small stream called Colton Beck. The Church of Holy Trinity was built in 1578 and listed by English Heritage as a Grade 2 building.
