The total area of the Chennai district is 178.8km2. This district is located in the Coromandel coast of Bay of Bengal.The Guindy National Park region covers 2.71km2 of reserved forest.The waterways here are the Cooum River, Adyar River, Buckingham Canal and Otteri Nullah stream.
