Cecil Dale Andrus (August 25, 1931 – August 24, 2017) was an American politician. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He served as Governor of Idaho for 14 years. He served as governor from 1971 to 1977 and again from 1987 to 1995. He served as U.S. Secretary of the Interior from 1977 to 1981, during the Carter administration.
Andrus died on August 24, 2017 in Boise, just short of his 86th birthday, due to complications from lung cancer.
