Andrew Clements (May 29, 1949 – November 28, 2019) was an American children's writer. His first book Frindle won annual book awards. In June 2015 it was named the Phoenix Award winner for 2016. He also wrote A Week in the Woods and Things Not Seen.
Clements died on November 28, 2019 at his Baldwin, Maine home at the age of 70.
