Amos (formerly, Mammoth) is an unincorporated community in Imperial County, California. It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 15 miles (24 km) east of Calipatria, at an elevation of 262 feet (80 m).
A post office operated at Amos from 1920 to 1931.
