Akira Kume facts for kids
Akira Kume (久米 明, Kume Akira, February 8, 1924 – April 23, 2020) was a Japanese actor. He was born in Tokyo. His career began in 1947. His best known roles were in The Insect Woman (1963), Tora-san's Sunrise and Sunset (1976) and in The Resurrection of the Golden Wolf (1979). He also voiced dubbed King Triton in the Japanese version of Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989).
Kume died of heart failure in Tokyo on April 23, 2020, aged 96.
