In Hindu mythology, Adi Para Shakti is the Supreme Being. She is the Goddess Parvati, Devi and recognized as Para Brahman (the highest Brahman). In many Shakta texts she is known as "Parma" meaning supreme, and "Satya" meaning truth. The Devi Bhagawata Mahapurana says that Adi Parashakti is the original creator, observer and destroyer of the whole universe.
